So far eZono provided every quarter its users a software update to keep the systems uptodate. The last 2 weeks we presented the latest version 1.9 to leading experts in the field of Ultrasound and got excellent feedback. Especially the new “Open CueCard” concept and the image style emulator are again unique innovations only available at eZono. Official presentation will be at ESA congress in Helsinki and DAC in Erlangen, Germany in June 2010.

After having covered Europe and Middle East, eZono now is available in parts of South Africa and Asia.
Many teaching hospitals have ultrasound specialists on board, but failed to make ultrasound guided regional anesthesia an essential part of young anesthesiologists education. This is changing now as several university hospitals acquired eZono3000 systems with the unique animated CueCard image interpretation support.
After a successful product launch in the DACH region, eZono continues the expansion into Europe. At the ESA (Euopean Society of Anaesthesiology) conference in Milano (6th - 9th June) eZono enjoyed a very high booth traffic and met with international opinion leaders in regional anesthesiology. Furthermore several distribution partnerships got signed. In Italy, Milan-based Burke&Burke has become eZono’s partner. Burke & Burke is the leading anesthesia equipment distributor for Italy as it serves all hospitals in the whole of the country. On top, eZono is pleased to announce to have signed Dutch Plastimed B.V. as its partner for the Netherlands. “The strong response of visitors at ESA2009 to our eZono 3000 indicates our momentum in the European region. The additional distribution agreements signed here further this development” says Robert Grueter, Head of Sales at eZono.
The eZono quality team’s hard work on implementing a world-class quality management system paid off as German DEKRA officially granted eZono AG its prestigious certificate according to ISO 13485:2003 + AC:2007 with certification number 51195-10-00. Furthermore DEKRA has certified the eZono 3000 according to annex II, section III of the directive 93/42/EEC as a medical device (class IIa). Thus the eZono 3000 gains the CE certificate and is ready to sell in Europe and most global territories.
In order to gain this prestigious designation, eZono’s quality team not only has implemented a thorough quality process but also the eZono 3000 has been tested by Carl Zeiss in Jena for safety. The quality requirements have met there the famous German thoroughness. As a result the eZono 3000 has endured cruel tests in climate chambers, drop tests, got hit by iron balls etc. to ensure patient safety. Thus the system is not only produced in Germany but its quality is audited and certified by the German leader in quality, DEKRA.
Start of European sales expansion for portable ultrasound system in DACH region’s anesthesia market
Jena / Leipzig–At the Deutsche Anästhesiecongress (DAC 2009) in Leipzig, eZono AG unveils three strategic agreements with anesthesia distributors. In Germany P.J. Dahlhausen & Co. GmbH will serve as eZono’s exclusive distributor. For Switzerland eZono has gained Theramed AG and for Austria Sanitas GmbH.
